Column sizes

I like navigating folders in “column” view, but columns are too narrow.

Hold OPTION and drag the divider between columns. This becomes the default.

Also, you can right-click the divider for options like “right size all columns individually”, but it doesn’t persist.

Disable all “Shared” items to prevent printers from showing on the desktop.

Keep folders on top
Show all filename extensions
Show warning before changing an extension
Show warning before removing from iCloud Drive
Show warning before emptying the Trash
Remove items from the Trash after 30 days
